RAMADAN MUBARAK
Assalam Alaikum,
The moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia as well as AMJA on the night on 5th Jun 2016.
By consensus, the Executive Committee has decided that Ramadan for 1437 H will start on Mon, 6th Jun 2016.
Taraweeh prayers will commence on Sun, 5th Jun 2016 immediately after Isha which will be at 9:55pm.
The Executive Committee wishes the community and all muslims Ramadan Mubarak.
May Allah grant us guidance and strength throughout this blessed month.

Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA)’s official declaration regarding the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan 1437H.
In the name of Allah, the Infinitely Merciful, the Grantor of Mercy
All praise is due to Allah, and may salutations and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his Companions, and those loyal to him.
It is with great joy that the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America congratulates the Muslims in the U.S. and abroad everywhere on the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, and announces to them the following:
Monday (6/6/16) will be the first day of Ramadan.
Thus, we send this announcement and praise Allah, the all mighty, and ask Him to lift the hardship placed on Muslims throughout the world. We ask Allah to bless this month of Ramadan and to guide us to the best, and to accept our good deeds, Ameen.

بيان مجمع فقهاء الشريعة بأمريكا حول أول أيام شهر رمضان المبارك 1437 هـ
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، أما بعد:
فإن مجمع فقهاء الشريعة بأمريكا يزف إلى مسلمي الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ومن ورائهم الأمة كلها في مختلف أرجائها أطيب تهانيه بمقدم شهر رمضان المبارك، ويعلن عليهم ما يأتي:
أن غدا الاثنين الموافق 6 من يونيو من عام 2016م هو أول أيام شهر رمضان المبارك، نسأل الله أن يعيده على علينا وعلى الأمة كلها بالخير واليمن والتوفيق والرفعة إن شاء الله.
ووجه ذلك هو ثبوت رؤية الهلال هذه الليلة في عدد من بلاد المسلمين.
وإن المجمع ممثلا في لجنته الدائمة للإفتاء إذ يعلن هذا البيان على مسلمي الولايات المتحدة ليبتهل إلى الله جل وعلى أن يرفع البلاء عن أمة محمد عامة، وأن يحقن دماءهم، وأن ينجز لهم وعده بالإنجاء والنصرة والتمكين، بارك الله للمسلمين أجمعين في شهرهم، ووفقهم فيه إلى الصالح من القول والعمل، وتقبله منهم بقبول حسن، وأعاده عليهم و على الأمة قاطبة بالخير واليمن والبركات، والله من وراء القصد وهو الهادي إلى سواء السبيل.
