Dear Parents,
The staff and I welcome all returning and new students to Al Noor Weekend School. We pray to Allah (SWT) that He blesses us with a successful year. We encourage suggestions and comments from you that will make us better. Also, we acknowledge that you are putting your trust in us to educate your child about Allah (SWT) and Islam in general and we pray that we will live up to that trust with Allah’s help.
In trying to educate our children, we must have your cooperation in a few areas. First, please make sure your child is on time for class, prepared upon arrival and picked up promptly after school. Second, your child should be properly dressed. Girls should not wear revealing, tight, short dresses or skirts. Everyone, boys and girls should come to the masjid dressed for prayer. Please make sure your child is well rested and has had breakfast or a snack before leaving home.
Books will be supplied to each child according to their level to be used throughout the year. You are responsible for paper and pencils.

Enrollment Procedure
- General Admission Procedures
Registration Form must be completed with student and parent information.
In order to be admitted, the student and parent must demonstrate a willingness to comply with the school’s policies. - Age Requirement
Students must be five years old at the start of the 1st semester. Semester starts in September. - Academic Evaluation
All students will undergo academic evaluation for appropriate grade-level placement before permanent class assignment.
Academic Information
The students are given basic and concrete knowledge to produce balanced Muslims who are mindful of Allah and Prophet Muhammad(saw).

It is our pleasure to greet and welcome you to our school year. We start each year with the vision of achieving excellence in every aspects at Al Noor Weekend School using and following Al Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s).
Al Noor strives to build a strong muslim community among parents, teachers, and students so that we will have a greater and blessed life.
As with any school there are policies, procedures and guidelines that must exist to provide for a smooth operation.
We therefore, expect your help, support, and cooperation in achieving the goals and objective at Al Noor Weekend School to provide a foundation for the future of our children. .
MISSION
Our mission is to seek the pleasure of Allah (swt) and to provide our students with knowledge of Al Islam that will promote good in this life as they continue to grow and strives to secure good in the next life.
OBJECTIVE
Al Noor is committed to offering it’s students a competitive curriculum of Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Knowledge. Al Noor will strive to provide the highest education possible to instill Islamic practice and values into each child .
The Staff
POLICY AND PROCEDURES
ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to attend all classes each Sunday. If a child does not attend all classes, he/she will be dismissed from the school. Each absence interferes with your child’s ability to benefit from his/her class. In case of absence, parents are asked to call the school or the teacher by 10:00 a.m. to explain the reason for the absence. If the child is absent without a phone call, the school will call the home to check on the child. Any assignments missed should be made up within the time frame given by the teacher. Two unexcused absence will require a conference with the school’s staff. School hours are 10am-2pm. Half day attendance is not allowed. In other words, a child will not be allowed to only attend the first two periods and be excused for the last period without a valid excuse.
TARDY
Excessive tardiness interfere with the student’s ability to benefit from class. Also, it always causes disruption in the lesson being presented by the teacher. Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared to start class at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday.
EARLY PICK UP
In some cases a child may need to leave early, in this case the parent is required to notify the school/teacher in advance. Early pick-up is discouraged.
LATE PICK-UP
Child(ren) must be picked up by 2:00 p.m. unless the school has been noti-fied that you will be late. A $10 late fee will apply after 10 minutes with $5 each additional minute..
DRESS CODE
All students are required to wear appropriate clothes to school. Short pants are not allowed. All girls must wear head scarves/khimar. Students coming to class wearing inappropriate clothing will be sent to the office and their parents will be contacted.
PARENT-SCHOOL COMMUNICATION
Please feel free to communicate any concerns you may have about your child, teacher, or staff. We welcome feedback to let us know how we are doing.
STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend class regularly.
- Have appropriate materials for class.
- Arrive at school prepared to learn.
- Recognize and respect rights of classmates.
- Respect teachers at all times.
- Comply with and conform to all class rules.
- All students are required to pray dhuhr before leaving school.
PARENTS RESPONSIBILITES
- Be aware of and understand school policies.
- Help promote positive attitude.
- Help student in regard to attendance, studying, supplies, and respect for others.
- Helping in classrooms or assisting in school activities.
- Communicate with teachers.
- Communicate any concerns to administration.
- Report any changes in email and phone to office staff.
