POLICY AND PROCEDURES

ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to attend all classes each Sunday. If a child does not attend all classes, he/she will be dismissed from the school. Each absence interferes with your child’s ability to benefit from his/her class. In case of absence, parents are asked to call the school or the teacher by 10:00 a.m. to explain the reason for the absence. If the child is absent without a phone call, the school will call the home to check on the child. Any assignments missed should be made up within the time frame given by the teacher. Two unexcused absence will require a conference with the school’s staff. School hours are 10am-2pm. Half day attendance is not allowed. In other words, a child will not be allowed to only attend the first two periods and be excused for the last period without a valid excuse.

TARDY
Excessive tardiness interfere with the student’s ability to benefit from class.  Also, it always causes disruption in the lesson being presented by the teacher.  Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared to start class at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday.

In some cases a child may need to leave early, in this case the parent is required to notify the school/teacher in advance.  Early pick-up is  discouraged.
